The San José City Council launches Treasure Hunt by Bicycle, an activity for the whole family. Parents and children can discover and some of the most beautiful corners of the island.
The idea, designed for both tourists and residents of the island, is to offer a novel, unique and fun experience, which include a bike ride through the beautiful Salinas area and some activities and games to liven up the journey.
While the participants pedal they will sing and have a great time. At each stop families will have to carry out an original treasure hunt, which will allow them to discover the mysteries and beauties of Las Salinas Natural Park. Games of questions and drawings will allow them to know the great variety of birds and marine species in the area.
In addition, it will also help adults and children to become environmentally conscious and they will get to know many anecdotes and interesting stories about the island's past and ancestors.
To regain strength, a delicious and healthy fruit lunch will be served halfway through the excursion.
The excursion starts in Playa d'en Bossa, then continues towards the watchtower Torre de Sa Sal Rossa and the church of San Francisco. It ends again in Playa d'en Bossa with a swim in the sea if the weather is good and you feel like it.
Duration and time: ca. 3 hours / 10:30 - 13.30 h
Dates: each Saturday from 4 July to 31 October
Languages: The activity is bilingual and is carried out in English and Spanish at the same time.

Available: The excursion is aimed at families with children between 6 and 16 years old - in the experience of the organiser younger children don't enjoy the excursion that much, due to lack of understanding the explanations. But it is the parents decision, the organiser does have bikes and helmets for children of all ages and also baby seats. Children have to know how to ride a bicycle.
Requirements: Comfortable clothes and shoes, it is recommended to put on sunscreen.
