The Red Cross have given the following advice to both natives and visitors to Ibiza on how to deal with the heat in summer.

Keep in the shade in the street.

Don't go out in the middle of the day.

Drink plenty of water.

Wear a hat.

Keep window blinds closed and do not allow the sun to enter the living area.

Use a fan and allow fresh air to circulate indoors.

Wear sun protection cream.

Wear sunglasses which give protection from ultra violet rays

The advice is given in the light of the terrible high temperatures which we endured for nearly 4 months last year and the Red Cross further point out that the most debilitating part of any heatwave is when humidity is high - as it always is in Ibiza. Let's be careful out there.
