Ibiza Soundtrack: September 2015

Ten tracks resonating in Ibiza all September and beyond.

Pele & Shawnecy
'Better For My Brain'

Definite island favourite doing the rounds, probably due to the sample being from much loved Lil’ Louis – Club Lonely, giving it a kick ass attitude and stance that pokes fun at guestlist culture... "what list?!" During Music On, it’s all about this track according to Marco Carola while, also on a Friday, Hot Since 82 has given it a play at Insane.

Damian Lazarus & The Ancient Moons 'Vermillion' (&ME Remix)

As if Trilogy and Woods from the Keinemusik label runner wasn’t causing enough excitement on the dance floor, &ME does it again. This remix from the result of Damian’s recent collaboration project was first heard from Damian himself during ENTER on Space’s Terrace, Dixon playing it at the same spot a week later. While in the Discoteca we also caught ear of Yousef giving it a go. After party or peak time… Play. it. now.

Eats Everything feat. Tiga vs Audion
'Dancing (Again!)'

Since the original came out in 2013, many producers have turned their hand to remixing this, from Adam Beyer to Breach. This summer, dance floors have been set alight as Eats Everything puts his mark on it. On top of Eats himself, Redlight and Carl Cox have been playing it, plus Tiga showing his seal of approval, spinning it at Sankeys last month. This is sure to get played by said perpetrators and more up until October.

Danny Tenagila
'Dibiza' (Joseph Capriati remix)

House classic from '06 gets a techno seeing to. The result is almost too hot to handle. Not an issue for the man himself Capriati of course, playing it during his B2B with Jamie Jones at Paradise amongst other dance floors. It has 5am written all over it and we're sure it'll be doing its thing here in Ibiza all through closings.

Technasia & Green Velvet
'Suga'

This summer's second cousin to Voicemail. The guitar riffs and Green Velvet preaching on this is sweet like sugar. We’re pretty positive this has been well loved all over Ibiza, whether that’s in a club, bar or hotel room during pre-drinks. Technasia putting it through Vista Club’s Funktion-One speakers at Windtalkers - class.

New Order
'Blue Monday' (Above & Beyond remix)

This remix of dance music's staple track (is that a donk I hear??) is appropriate listening for those Ibiza blues that are soon to be setting in. Above & Beyond have been playing this at Cream all summer, inducing hands in the air and furious stomping. It's a remix that's been kicking about for a while, but copyright will probably never let it see the light of day, release wise.

Mark Fanciulli
'8 Track' (Terrace Mix)

I’d put money on this being made for the island and its dance floors. That’s a bet I basically win straight away seeing as it’s a terrace mix, suiting a terrace with its frenzied free spiritedness. Inducing madness upon revellers at Cocoon and Carl Cox parties thanks to Carl Craig. Chant along and bask in those hi-hats. Groove-er!

Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike
'Higher Place'

Time to slow it down a notch. Here's a track that House Of Madness nights wouldn't be the same without this season as Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike deliver the goods with this one. Who doesn't love a bit of Ne-Yo and his lovely harmonies? No, really.

Bjarki
'I Wanna Go Bang'

This number goes full whollop through some decent speakers. It's on her imprint so unsurprisingly Nina Kraviz has been showing it some love, whether that's for Carl Cox or Circoloco. Sven Väth gave it a spin during his visit to Amnesia's club room at Cocoon as Chris Liebing also tests it out for Hyte. In response to the vocal line: You do go bang. Uhh.

Nici Frida
'Wasted Time'

Marco Carola finished up a Friday in Amnesia with this for everyone to lap it up so much they called for more and the set lived on (as it tends to always do on his watch). This one is definitely the kind of track perfect for cruising along the winding roads of Ibiza, as you take in the views and bathe in that island feeling.
