Top 10 tracks from I AM A RICH BITCH opening 2017

Reggaeton monsters and hip hop classics for the first bash of the year.

Privilege residency I AM A RICH BITCH rose to become one of the superclub's most popular weekly teardowns. With founder and resident DJ, Ale Zuber, at the helm it exploded onto the scene by offering a blaze of urban heat for clubbers. Sure, you can find yourselves an urban fix at some of the smaller bars and clubs in San Antonio and Playa d'en Bossa, but nowhere else can do it on the same scale as Privilege can – it is the biggest club in the world, after all.

It slams in to tackle year two with conviction, and rightly so. Joining Ale Zuber this year are Danny Romero, Lil Paul DJ, DJ Polin, Federico Kay, Juan Cuba, Manuel Ribeca, and Sweet Flow. But that's not all, as we're anticipating some surprises in the form of some huge international guests, and they'll no doubt bolster this night's reputation 12 months after we had appearances from Fatman Scoop and Busta Rhymes.

For the urban heads looking to dig up some hip hop, reggaetón, trap and moombahton, we stepped in for the opening party to give you a selection of tracks. We'll leave you to hit play and decide if this one goes on your clubbing itinerary for 2017.

Soulja Boy / Crank That

So, here we go for a first impression – first track out the bag. I can't quite believe that this snap record first broke ground a decade ago, but there you have it. Ten years old it might be, however, it seems that no matter how many times you hear that “YOUUUUUUUUUUUU”, no mortal can resist getting right involved. An instant crowd appeaser.

Nicky Jam / Hasta El Amanecer

The first slice of reggaeton came in from Nicky Jam with this 2017 smasher. Considered a reggaeton superstar, Nicky Jam has been flexing his talent since the age of 14. This is a record that's allowing the Colombia-based artist to ride reggaeton's second global wave, and it was all stations go last night.

Jason Derulo / Swalla (feat. Nicki Minaj & Ty Dolla $ign)

What you gonna do? Shimmy shimmy yay, shimmy yay, shimmy ya? Yes, indeed you are. One thing that instantly smacks you about I AM A RICH BITCH is that this is where you lay bare everything your body is capable of doing. It's about impressing your mates of the same sex, humans of the opposite sex, and if you can do that like Nicki Minaj, you'll soon notice a swarm of interest.

Daddy Yankee / Lo Que Pasó, Pasó

His latest record, Despacito, with fellow Puerto Rican singer Luis Fonsi and Justin Bieber is proving that Latin influence in pop culture is still huge, as its been numero uno on Billboard's Hot 100 for a third week in a row. While he's enjoying his fruits from his newest topper, we dove back into his discography with Lo Que Pasó, Pasó – a hit from 2004. Reggaeton vintage gold.

Jay-Z & Kanye West / Ni**as In Paris

Hip hop crashed back in, and if you're bringing it to the dance floor, it may as well be from two of America's best. Snapped from collab album, Watch The Throne, it contains samples from "Baptizing Scene" by Reverend W.A. Donaldson and also samples dialogue from DreamWorks Pictures' 2007 film Blades Of Glory. There's two random facts of the day. Last night it ignited a mass dive to the floor.

Ed Sheeran Ft Zion & Lennox / Shape Of You (Latin Remix)

With a record that's a full-on appreciation of the female form, writhing bodies have to be a must here, eh? This certainly got the chicas running to the centre of the crowd as if time may stop, and we'd hit an apocalypse before the chicos knew what they had going in those tight skinny jeans. A disaster by all accounts. Another huge crowd gratifier.

DJ KBZ / Mueve Mueve

'Mueve' translates to 'move' in Spanish – you're beginning to get the idea here, aren't you? This night is about grind, it's about the letting the hips do their business, and it's about showing off what your mamma gave you.

50 Cent Feat. Olivia / Candy Shop

If Soulja Boy's record had the effect of transporting me to another time bubble, this one truly gave me teenage flashbacks – some of which aren't particularly welcome. However, this is still an absolute tune. It's a classic in dirty rap, and we suppose that we need not remind you of the overriding theme here - it's definitely not about giant fizzy cola bottles…

Atomic Otro Way / Te De Campana

Another grind-worthy track from Noel Alexis Garcias (a.k.a Atomic Otro Way). The Dominican Republic star has been racking up the likes with this new smasher, and it got the seal of approval in the early hours of this morning.

Daddy Yankee / Rompe

Daddy Yankee is undoubtedly one of the main guys to supply the artillery for I AM A RICH BITCH. Rompe held the number 1 spot of Billboard's Hot Latin Tracks for three whopping months. It's another oldie as it came out in 2005, but classic reggaeton monsters seem to have never ending appeal.
