Best tunes in Ibiza clubs | September/October

The final closing weeks of this whirlwind season have provided some of the best club bangers of the summer.

The time between September and October is a special one on Ibiza as the clubs and the parties close for the season. The 2018 edition of the closing parties has not disappointed holidaymakers and veteran clubbers alike with some of the finest tunes out there.

The past four weeks have been particularly wild. DJs pulled out all the stops in fire sets and Ibiza clubbers going at full tilt on the dance floor. The music, of course, has been absolutely exceptional. Enough club bangers kept us dancing from sunset to sunrise - and vice versa.

It has been tough to pick out the very best tracks from all these stellar parties, but we have given it a good shot. Here are our selections to keep you grooving all the way until Halloween when the season really ends.

Eric Prydz | Every Day | Eric Prydz Closing at Hï Ibiza

Having smashed another amazing season at Hï Ibiza, Eric Prydz is an unstoppable clubbing force. With residents CamelPhat and Cristoph, every Tuesday has been more special than the last. However, the final instalment of this residency was by far a highlight of the season.

Following a surprise set from Adam Beyer, Prydz took to the stage and played out banger after banger. The atmosphere was electrically charged in the last hour. As Prydz dropped Everyday, the tune had everyone chanting the synth line - a euphoric moment for sure.

Enrico Sangiuliano | Hidden T | The Zoo Project at Benimussa Park

When Enrico Sangiuliano's Biomorph album dropped back in June, it blew techno fans minds' everywhere. The entire release is exceptional; however, Hidden T stands out with its soaring build-ups and explosive drops.

It was no surprise that Thai techno mistress Nakadia had this banger in her arsenal for the penultimate The Zoo Project party. She dropped this thundering beat mid-set. As it echoed across from the Treehouse stage, it had every clubber locked into a serious stomp.

Ricardo Tobar | La Condamine | Cocoon closing at Pacha

Let's face it, the last tune of the Cocoon season in Pacha was bound to be a special one. The entire evening was fabulous, as Seth Troxler started proceedings with a mixture of tech jams. Cocoon king 'Papa' Sven Väth then unleashed a barrage of beats until the early morning.

Ever the wizard behind the decks, the last record Sven selected was an interesting one. La Condamine by Ricardo Tobar was the perfect musical tone to finish the night with. As the uplifting synths and mystical breakbeat soared, everyone had the biggest smile in a state of pure clubbing bliss.

Kerri Chandler | Atmospheric Beats | Music On Closing at Privilege

This wicked house cut has been dancing across decks all summer, sounding mainly within the walls of DC10 at Circoloco and Paradise. An exceptional party where it was played had to be day two of the Music On weekender closing celebrations at Privilege.

It was early morning, the main room was brimming with clubbers and Marco Carola and The Martinez Brothers were in a serious back to back session. A whole galaxy of lights and laser spun around the crowd as this noughties groover brought on an unbeatable vibe.

Boys Noize | Killer ft. Steven A Clark | ANTS/USHUAïa closing at Ushuaïa

You got to hand it to Boys Noize - they sure know how to make an electro face melter. Taking a cyberpunk production style to a 90s classic was a stroke of brilliance. Sharp electro stabs and smooth vocals make this cover an absolute dance-floor winner.

So when you take a track like this and play it out at ANTS and Ushuaïa joint closing, it is guaranteed to get bodies grooving. Tech dons Steve Lawler and Nic Fanciulli dropped this nostalgia-laced banger and had the crowd going bonkers.

DJ Rolando | Jaguar (Space Motion Remix) | Black Coffee closing at Hï Ibiza

Another critically acclaimed artist who rocked Hï Ibiza this summer is Black Coffee. His residency has continued to bring fans old and new flocking week after week with a unique roster brimming with DJ superstars.

The closing was no different with a massive line-up joining Black Coffee for the final Saturday extravaganza. Virgil Abloh, Andrea Oliva, Nastia and Nic Fanciulli were just some of the DJs slamming out sets at this climactic closing. A particularly special moment was when Black Coffee himself dropped this remix of an iconic Ibiza jam.

Weiss | Feel My Needs | Defected closing at Eden

One of the most exciting parties to let your hair down at is Defected In The House. The UK label has been throwing insane parties on the island for over a decade, now calling the Eden super-club its home.

With its winning combination of upbeat house and disco sounds, it has garnered a strong fan basis of Ibiza residents and island visitors alike. Like the rest of the season, the closing was packed out. Sam Devine had the room in utter elation as she dropped Feel My Needs, an absolute summer anthem of 2018.

In Your Eyes | &ME | Circoloco closing at DC10

Circoloco continues to reign supreme as one of the most underground parties on Ibiza. Boasting some of the best-curated line-ups a party can offer, the afternoon to night event at DC10 supplies both a unique atmosphere and awesome music.

The grand finale did not disappoint with a whole collection of premium electronic music artists smashing out sets. In Your Eyes by &ME was heard everywhere this summer but the perfect tune when DJ Tennis dropped it during his late afternoon set, creating golden sunset vibes. Later in the morning, Damian Lazarus pulled it out as well for a blissful sunrise moment.

Delerium | Silence (Fade's Sanctuary Mix) | Amnesia closing

This tremendous tune has been blasted out of the Club Room of Amnesia a lot over the summer. A deep tech mix of a trance classic, it combines thudding kicks with acid under synths to create the ultimate atmospheric piece that has clubbers in a raving frenzy.

Do Not Sleep resident Darius Syrossian has been keeping this iconic song in his tune collection and elevated the dance floor energy of the Amnesia closing. As Sarah McLachlan's vocals soared out the speakers, every hand was in the air.

Osunlade | Idiosyncracy | Solomun + 1 closing at Pacha

Last but by no means least is this tune selection from the incredible Solomun +1 closing and after-party. The 12-hour rave at Pacha saw Solomun go back to back with Swiss electronic duo Adriatique, with both acts dropping absolute bangers and working together in perfect synergy.

The party carried on at Benimussa Park later where Magdalena warmed up a crowd eager to party hard, followed by Adriatique and Solomun going back to back for round two. Idiosyncrasy went down a storm at both the closing and the afters, with everyone fist-pumping and chanting along to the catchy chorus.

The summer season on Ibiza has been filled with many joyous and incredible moments. DJs have continued to raise the bar dropping serious tunes in stellar sets.

I think we speak for every Ibiza enthusiast - from recently sun-kissed holidaymakers to veteran clubbers - saying that we already look forward to finding out what 2019 will bring to the island and, of course, the amazing music that comes with it.

For now, though, listen to the soundtrack of Ibiza 2018 on the Ibiza Spotlight Spotify featuring all the best tunes from this summer.
