It's official. The British love Ibiza, The Balearics, and Spain. In Ibiza, no less than 52% of all the 'tourist nights' were spent by the British last year, and the Balearics in general has always been the region most favoured by them. What has changed though, is that Spain has now overtaken France as Britain's preferred foreign destination!
The change has come about since it was realised that Spain (like Ibiza) is more than just sun and sea - with its rich culture, history and heritage, coupled with good hotels, transport, food and entertainment, it makes an ideal holiday spot where the natives are happy to see you.
