Great Ibiza Grape Grab

On New Year's Eve the Spanish traditionally consume 12 grapes as the clock strikes midnight

On New Year's Eve the Spanish traditionally consume 12 grapes as the clock strikes midnight as legend has it that this will bring good luck over the coming 12 months of the New Year.

However revellers at Ibiza town's big council organised party in a giant marquee were given the pip when it was discovered that there were no grapes to be had. It appeared that somebody had grabbed the grapes and walked off with two crates full - enough to bring luck to the entire population of Ibiza.

At the moment the police have no idea as to the identity of the thief but putting two and two together we believe that to carry two crates there must have been a bunch of them!
