La Puerta Olvidada moves to Ibiza

One of Ibiza's most individual and stylish decoration and interior design shops

One of Ibiza's most individual and stylish decoration and interior design shops is moving soon. La Puerta Olvidada (The Forgotten Door) has for the last seven years been based in a tiny town house near San Antonio church which was crammed full of beautiful things from its Lilliputian bedrooms all the way to the bijou patio.

Now, Lidia and Ana, who run the shop have decided to move into the winding cobbled streets of Ibiza Old Town and will be taking up residence in Dalt Vila on Calle Santa Cruz 15. That's the one which runs down from the Plaza del Sol to the Plaza de Vila where La Oliva Restaurant is situated.

They'll be continuing to sell an eclectic mix of beautiful furniture, lamps, candle holders and lamps at la puerta olvidadamaterials, mirrors, candle holders, shells, cushions, prints, scents, quirky ornaments and much, much more.

Ana and Lidia say they stock the prettiest things that they've seen in the decoration fairs they attend, along with individually designed pieces which can only be found in La Puerta Olvidada. They describe their themes as 'retro-vintage' and 'garden and sea' where you will be sure to find something completely unexpected or for example an ornament which is a perfect compliment for some curtain material you've chosen.

The things they sell certainly are uniquely stylish and are almost conversation pieces in the home and I should know as we have quite a few items around the house from La Puerta Olvidada which always draw admiring comments from our visitors.

They open on 15th April until the end of October, but during winter they are available for prearranged times.
