Disturbing Ibiza bring an urban fiesta to Ushuaïa

An opening party to remember for Tinie Tempah and his gang.

My initial question was Tinie Tempah in Ibiza? Yet after attending the opening party for the British rappers Disturbing Ibiza the answer has been filled with a multitude of rhythms, emulsions of lights and a vibe that seemed to swarm contagiously throughout the glitzy Ushuaïa Hotel. Everything alluded to the perfect party.

The stage was decorated with graffitied signs announcing Disturbing Ibiza. Colourful skulls wore a crown filled with animations of London's monuments such as the London Eye and Tower Bridge. It was warming to see Tinie's heritage amongst the setup.

Charlie Sloth welcomed me to the party by pumping Fatman Scoop's Put Your Hands Up. The British DJ and producer played an infinity of tracks, some sprinkling nostalgia across the crowd as they sung their hearts out to Oasis' Wonderwall – one of the best moments of the day.

DJ Craze played an impressive vinyl set spinning sing-along favourites such as Usher's Yeah and Nelly's Hot In Here. With the atmosphere stepping up a level DJ Charlsey brought the smoke machines to life and with his inquisitive track choices, combining infamous party starters such as The Pina Colado Song and the RnB hit Hot Line Bling.

Hip Hop favourite Jazzy Jeff was next to step up to the podium. His set manifested itself between R&B and Electro remixes. The American DJ connected with his Fresh Prince roots, playing The Fresh Prince of Bel Air theme tune, which transcended into the Drake favourite What's Up. Both having the crowd switched on as their twerking became more serious.

DJ EZ's performance was the one party goers had clearly been waiting for. As soon as they heard a distant distortion of a female vocal repeating DJ EZ they knew it was time and galloped forward to set up camp closer to the stage. As being named one of the greatest DJs on the planet, the British star showed his technical and creative abilities, and fully engaged his audience from start to finish. His set was mainly Garage and R&B influenced, a favourite being DJ Pied Piper's Do You Really Like It? as well as I'll Bring you Flowers.

Next it was the turn of headliner Tinie Tempah, who to say the least, made an impressive entrance. Performing his globally renowned tracks, Earthquake and Pass Out he had the crowd singing to their hearts content. The British artist brought his roots to life, yet also performed a juicy new track Lightwork from his most recent album YOUTH.

Overall a smashing evening for the Disturbing crew. With fourteen more parties to land this summer the urban promoter will be sure to add more mayhem to their weekly fun filled fiestas.
