<article class="article wysiwyg "><p>Tapping into the energy force commonly referred to as "nostalgia", <a href="https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/promoters/one-more-time-eden"><st… More Time Ibiza</strong></a> gets a whooping 14-date extended run at <a href="https://www.ibiza-spotlight.com/night/clubs/eden_i.htm"><strong>Eden</s…; this summer.</p><p>Picture the scene if you will: you've just spent the last few hours smashing out classic tracks from the past 25 years. As the night draws to a close, only the diehards remain in the crowd - and they're like putty in your hands. The sound engineer gives you the signal indicating the end is nigh, so you slowly fade out of your current selection as the house lights come up.</p><p>The crowd are united and vocal in their demands: "<em>one more tune</em>", "<em>one more tune</em>", "<em>one more tune</em>". It's your obligation to send them home happy.</p><p>You're going to do it, of course, but not before playing with them a little. Hovering your finger over the deck, you pause for dramatic effect and add a split-second of doubt. Then you slam your finger down and the dancefloor goes nuts below you.</p><p>That's the premise here. I came to Ibiza for the first time on holiday in 1996 and ended up staying for the season. Born Slippy came out that year and was a massive track that I first heard whilst I was here.</em></p><p><em>Amongst many jobs, one was on the MANUMISSION entertainment team. The theme that year was the Word Series. Each week was a different city or country in the world.</em></p><p><em>During the Tokyo week, the entertainment team dressed up in kimonos (actually bed sheets as the budget was so low) to perform a Thai Chi style routine on the bridge over the swimming pool, really slowly during the track's build up.</em></p><p><em>When it dropped, we all ripped our kimono off and went mad, dancing in the strobes and smoke. Probably one of the most memorable nights for me at Privilege.</em></p><p><em>It's special for being such an iconic track</em>. <em>Trainspotting is an unforgettable movie and Born Slippy is just so memorable. It offers hands-in-the-air moments as well as dancing-your-butt-off moments.</em></p><p><em>I don't really get to play it very often. It's most suited to a large club or festivals, but I have played it at Beatherder Festival at the Fortress stage and it still smashes to this day</em>."</p><p>Great choice. Love the back story too.
