Visitors to Ibiza town this week were astounded to see (well I was) the Via Punica devoid of cars parked in every conceivable nook, cranny, and crevice! In fact the view of the never previously seen tarmac revealed many crevices which could swallow up a small scooter or a large dog! Apparently this is the first stage of the Council's plan to re-tarmac the whole area of Sa Capelleta (to the south of the Avenida España) over the next 3 months at a cost of €1.2m! If all goes well, the job should be completed well before March, the month when the replacement rainwater drains are due to be installed - under the nice new tarmac!!
