It's official. There is an underground scene in Ibiza. Ibiza Town Council has confirmed that it is to construct a new underground car park immediately underneath the ticket office of the Formentera ferries in the marina area near the town centre. It will hold 321 cars and relieve parking problems in the area, especially in the busy summer period. Meanwhile the installation of new underground rubbish containers has commenced in Ibiza. The idea is simple, people drop their rubbish down a hatch, it is stored out of site in the 2600 cubic litre container, and in the evening the rubbish is removed by a special wagon without the operatives even having to leave the cab.
