Save our Sunset! The Mayor of San An, José Sala, has called on the promoters of the big new housing and sports harbour development at Ses Variades to change its plans. The Matutes organisation has plans to develop the area, more commonly known as Sunset Strip, to provide low level housing and increase the capacity of the port of San Antonio.
The Mayor recognizes the attraction of the area for the thousands of people who flock there every evening in summer to watch the sun set and listen to the music of the famous sunset bars nearby. He would like the plans to be changed so that the area’s famous view is not spoiled and will still remain an undeniably famous feature on the Ibiza tourist trail.
