UK Halloween Round Up

Scare away those Ibiza blues! Our guide to Halloween in the UK for the last minute ravers amongst us.

After having your favourite parties and DJs in reach week after week on the white isle over summer, you may – like us – be suffering some serious withdrawal symptoms now you’re back on home turf.

But don’t panic! Like your mum with home-made chicken soup, we’re here to make you feel a whole lot better, as we’ll be bringing you your one-stop guide on where to catch your island favourites right here in the UK.

With Halloween just around the corner, where better to start than with a round up of where the Ibiza Class of 2014 are going to be on the scariest weekend of the party calendar.

Placing their allegiances either side of the Atlantic, it seems for an International DJ Halloween either means hitting the decks across the pond – Vath in Miami, Corola in NYC, and an eye-watering line up over in L.A. including Richie Hawtin at Escape, All Hallows Eve, (we strongly advise not spending hours drooling over the website like we did unless you have a spare £500 lying around to book a flight with!) – or luckily for us, playing right here in the UK.

Tribal Sessions: Halloween Special with Dance Mania

Sankeys, Manchester
Friday 31st October

Tickets - Booths only

With the Sankeys team back home in Manchester, this year they’re celebrating Halloween with one of their longest serving nights, Tribal Sessions. Under the skilful eye of Darius Syrossian, it became our Wednesday night ritual on the white isle over the summer, a no-frills, stripped back approach to tech-house raving we just couldn’t resist.

Joining Syrossian for this Halloween Special is Tribal regular Holly Lester, Music Is Love’s Oli Furness, and Chicago label Dance Mania, overseeing things in the Spektrum. There’ll also be free drinks up for grabs for the best fancy dress and better still, tickets are still available. So only question is – are you still tribal?

Fuse Halloween Rave

Village Underground, London
Sunday 2nd October

Guestlist

They may have done a damn good job over the summer at seeing in our Wednesday mornings, but Sunday daytime is where Fuse was born, and that’s exactly where you’ll find them this Halloween. Back in the capital, they’ll be hitting Village Underground on Sunday for their annual Halloween Rave, with Nastia, Seb Zito and Rossko. The party not only kicks off in the afternoon – meaning plenty of sleep to be had before that dreaded Monday morning alarm – but is also free, so if you’re in London – no excuses!

Hot Creations: Waved presents The Hot Creations Halloween All Nighter

Halo, Bournemouth
Friday 31st October

Tickets £15

Giraffe & CGP Present Richy Ahmed (Hot Creations) Halloween Party

The View, Frodsham in Warrington
Saturday 1st November

Tickets £15

Hot Creations brought us one of the best line ups on the island this summer with their Wednesday night party at DC10, Paradise, so we had no doubt they’d pull it out of the bag with their Halloween plans. Whilst Jamie Jones is sadly busy entertaining stateside, many others from the Hot Creations inner circle will be right here in the UK.

Apparently already missing life by the beach, Lee Foss and wAFF will be down on the coast on Friday night, for Waved presents The Hot Creations Halloween All Nighter at Halo Bournemouth. Meanwhile on Saturday, in the wake of his new Hot Creations release, Sneaky Acid, Richy Ahmed will be hitting the decks further North at The View in Cheshire, for their Halloween Special. Tickets are still available for both, so wherever you are in the country you can get your Hot Creations fix this Halloween.

Defected: Defected in the House Ministry of Sound

Ministry of Sound, London
Saturday 1st November

Tickets £25

Krankbrother presents Halloween

Pulse, London
Friday 31st October

Tickets £27.50

Despite the occasional mile long queue, (we’re looking at you MK), Defected did a good job at continuing their impressive legacy over the summer on the white isle, cementing themselves as the jewel in super-club Booom’s crown. Back on home soil, they’re heading to London clubbing institution Ministry of Sound on Saturday to celebrate Halloween, with the likes of Osunlade, FCL and Terrance Parker.

Or, if decorations and lots of them is what you look for in a Halloween party, then look no further than Defected duo Krankbrother’s legendary annual bash, this year held at the Southbank’s Pulse. Expect world class techno with both Andrew Weatherall and Cocoon’s Daniel Stefanik hitting the – quite possibly blood spattered – decks.

La Familia: Abode Halloween Special with Saved vs Keinemusik

Studio 338, London
Sunday 2nd October

Tickets £18.50

It may have been a late edition to Ibiza’s clubbing calendar, but Nic Fanciulli and Joris Voorn’s residency La Familia was an instant hit on the island, and a welcome break for poor old Ushuaia and her EDM headache. Although catching them back to back is off the cards this Halloween, you can see the boys separately across the weekend.

Voorn will be playing at a certain event at Tobacco Docks on Saturday that you may have heard a whisper or two about, Adam Beyer’s Drumcode Halloween. The coveted event is unsurprisingly all sold out, so sadly you'll only get to see Voorn, Beyer and co if you've already got tickets sorted. We're not jealous, not at all.

Fancuilli meanwhile will be celebrating Halloween with the second Sunday day-rave in our round up, and thankfully there are still tickets available, so you've still got the chance to catch one half of the La Familia pair this weekend. He’ll be hitting London’s largest terrace at Studio 338 along with the likes of Leon and Adam Port, for Abode’s Halloween Special with Saved vs Kienemusik. And if that line up wasn’t enough to get you going, Abode will be bringing a huge festival production to the venue to help you see out your Halloween weekend.

Other Ibiza Exports:

Get Loose Halloween Spooks with Mark Knight

The Arena, Middlesborough
Friday 31st October

Tickets £7

The Toolroom boss will be bringing his tech-house sound all the way from Booom to the Midlands this Friday.

The Zoo Project Halloween Special

Junk, Southampton
Saturday 1st November

Tickets £7.50

Ibiza’s fancy dress enthusiasts Zoo are of course getting in on the action. They’ll be heading to Southampton to show them how it’s done.

Pukka Up goes Deep and Dark with afterparty at Egg

Tower Millenium Pier, London
Saturday 1st November

Tickets £30

No stranger to Ibiza’s shores, Pukka Up will be switching their attentions to slightly less glamorous waters – the Thames – this Saturday for Halloween. Bodyrox of Yeah Yeah fame will be headlining the three hour trip, and the party will carry on into the night at Egg London, which is included in the ticket price.

So now that you know your options, it’s now all down to you to choose your poison. See you on the other side…

Ticket prices correct as of 7pm 28/10/14
