Bora Bora carnage - opening date + DVDs to be won!

Addicts get your filthy fix here.

Bora Bora is one of the best bits of Ibiza. Around that unassuming beach bar in Playa d'en Bossa have sprung legends, enormous apartment blocks and a big blue tarpaulin.

Bora Bora

Everybody has a Bora Bora story. Most involve some combination of pounding music, euphoric company, items of lost clothing and the odd broken bone.

The majority however escape with misty-eyed memories and limbs intact. From the moment the bleary-eyed resident dj has powered up the sound system in the afternoon till the last dazed partygoer has left the building after midnight, expectations are raised and fulfilled.

Forum hounds will already know the opening party date is Friday May 25.

IMPORTANT UPDATE: BORA BORA OPENING NOW FRIDAY JUNE 1

Below we tell you how to win Dancetrippin DVDs of last year's freak show, featuring sets by the four residents - Oliver Lang, Alex Miles, Gordon "That bloke with the trumpet" Edge (above) and Will Johnston.

Will Johnston"They were recorded in August and September," says the handsome Mr Johnston (right), "you see and hear exactly what was played and what happened on the terrace. It's just like being there, altho sadly without having the sweaty breasts and chests all over you."

Now the ringing in his ears has subsided, Will's ready to start ding donging the bells of hell again.

Spotlight: What's up?

Will (via email): I'm half way through my winter hibernation. I came out of the cave last week and saw my own shadow, so summer should be fast approaching.

Spotlight: Do you think about Bora Bora in off season?

Will: To be honest for the first months of winter I'm so happy to lie in my own bed, relax, chill out, let the ringing in my ears subside a little bit, eat plenty, rest and recover. But it doesn't take long before I'm missing it again.

Spotlight: Do you stay in contact with the guys who run Jet?

Will: Alex and Oliver were out there a few weeks back looking at apartments. I hear they all had a piss up together.

Spotlight: Any special parties?

Will: The opening on May 25 will be great, all locals and a lot of known faces. The following Space opening weekend is also a big one. We'll have to draw straws to see who gets to play and who gets to party across the street

Spotlight: Any musical trends you'd like to comment on?

Will: You heard it here, Minimal-electro-pop is going to be the next big thing. He he. I don't know, let's just say house music. The minimal and electro waves aren't going away, but I think it's obvious both movements have hurt themselves by just going too far. There is great minimal, and great electo, but sorry I don't want to hear the sound of either for six hours straight, and I think a lot of other people may be feeling the same way by now. What happened to variety? When did it become a sin to play something with a melody, or something that might even (gasp) sound happy? I think that, especially lately, it's been easy to forget that IT'S ALL HOUSE MUSIC BABY.

Spotlight: Fave costumed freak from last year?

Will: Tina Creature. She had a crush on Alex and would come by very often to dance suggestively on the tables for him. With that little miniskirt on and her tits out, it was quite a sight. Particularly as her ball sack hung lower than her hemline.

Spotlight: Any chicas you want to give a shout out to?

Will: Yeah. My Russian sweetheart.

Aww, ain't that sweet?
