Best tunes in Ibiza clubs from May to June 2019

Hottest tracks of the last month straight from Ibiza dance floors.

It's been a month of opening parties with the 2019 season now in full swing. DJs across all clubs and genres have been bringing their A-game to the decks with their selection of mixes.

Here we have some of our top tracks from parties across the island.

Roberto Surace | Joys | Music On

Marco Carola played this one on the first night of Music On in its new home at Pacha. A fresh new track, Joys was released in the early months of 2019.

Tropical meets tech-house in this tune with a disco inflicted vibe from the lead vocals throughout, reminiscent of '90s island club anthems.

Rebuke | Jump Ship | DC10

Played by Peggy Gou at Circoloco, Jump Ship has a drum beat focal point. The tune samples tribal-esque hand-beaten drums with flickers of tech samples that build as the track progresses.

Dropped by Peggy Gou, this track fits her style - tech-house with a muted tone, with cultural influences scattered throughout.

MACEO PLEX | WHEN THE LIGHTS ARE OUT | ANTS

The production style of this track lends itself well to an open-air venue like Ushuaïa. It captivated the audience as it beamed across the dance floor played by Andrea Oliva at island favourite party ANTS.

Instantly distinctive to Maceo Plex is the abstract introduction that carries on throughout as the production builds and vocals enter. Synthetic, electronic waves zone in and out in the background of the track juxtaposing the thumping bassline as the beat drops.

ARMAND VAN HELDEN | THE FUNK PHENOMENA | WILDCHILD

Taking us right back to 1996 was this old school anthem that sent waves of energy through the crowd at Wildchild.

Dropped into the mix by Alex Wolfenden, it has funky, thumping beats plus that unmistakable style of the era that saw the rave scene explode = a sure hit with clubbers.

SRVD | BROTHA | PURE PACHA

A highlight track from Tiga's set from the Pure Pacha opening party was SRVD's recent release Brotha.

Layering echoing, soulful vocal samples over a steady bass beat, it was utterly captivating on the dance floor.

PIONAL | TIME OF THE G'S | BLACK COFFEE

A seductive deep house bassline entices appeal to this track whilst hypnotic vocal samples drift in and out of the mix. The running drum beat throughout kept the dancers in awe.

Black Coffee himself dropped it as he graced the decks of Hï Ibiza at the beginning of the month. It was a memorable night with his unorthodox afro house style.

MARCO LYS | THE STORY CONTINUES | TOOLROOM

Led by a melodic percussion topline, we found ourselves immersed in tech-house heaven with this track. Sampling the cheers of party-goers alike, the tune instantly uplifts any mood.

We heard this one when Illyus & Barrientos dropped it at San Antonio's Eden. Released with Bambossa Records - an Armada sub-label - all the way back in 2017, the tune is still providing a fresh beat for ravers of the island to dance to.

PURPLE DISCO MACHINE | BODY FUNK (CLAPTONE REMIX) | THE MASQUERADE

Known for his mysterious ways, Claptone casts his spell of deep, dark house with this originally upbeat, funk track that channels '80s electro vibes.

Dropping his remix on the opening night of his masked DJ residency at Pacha The Masquerade, he had the crowd enchanted by his rhythmic overtones, allowing pops of electronica to seep through the mix.

CLOONEE | THE CIGGIE | TOGETHER

The Ciggie certainly threw the energetic crowd off guard at the Together opening party when thrown into the mix by Pukka Up's James iD and DAYL in their B2B.

This track blends a distorted beat reminiscent of Ben E King's soulful Stand By Me with the topline beat from 2000s classic Eve and Gwen Stefani's Let Me Blow Ya Mind.

MANT & BISCITS | CARNIVAL TUNE | ABODE

As the title suggests, Carnival Tune is rich with jungle, carnival vibes from start to finish. Layered into the mix are a collective of instrumental samples from a flute melody to tribal drums. Chanting vocals weave in and out of the track and climax with a crowd chorusing back their cheers.

All of this is intertwined with an underlying bass beat and bouncing drops throughout. It was a definite crowd pleaser at Amnesia's Thursday night party ABODE when GW Harrison added it into the mix.

We could not possibly cover all the ace tunes we heard on Ibiza dance floors this past month, but we did try. For more dance floor bangers, head on over to our Spotify for a full selection.
